I realize we're gettin' a lot of new people because chapter two is rolling around... But that doesn't mean we can't be civilized in forum duty.

New people - You NEED avatars, or else you wont be recognized as anything more than "The new guy" or "Some other idiot with 3 posts." Not saying you ARE, I'm saying that's how you look unless you part yourself from the others. It's not that hard - just take a pic, make it 100 by 100 and upload it under the User CP. It's amazing how much more people will respond to you if you just have a tiny picture under your name.

And second, and I realize this has been said before, but it seems nobody listens. At least TRY to use the search bar before starting a topic. And if it turns out your topic was made before? Quit whinning and remember to search next time. Sure, search doesn't pick EVERYTHING up, but even so - if your thread is closed, no whinning.

I always respect people that use the same Avatar. This way you know who you are dealing with.

Also on the search...people have rez'ed some older threads only to have them closed. Defeats the purpose of searching. I say bring back an older thread..let it alone...unless of course stoopid people get ahold of it...then nuke it...

aggreed .... however may i also point out that the search feature seems to be haveing a few minor glitches of late... is there an official line on this .. or simply the unavoidable repurcussions of being popular aka high server load?

I agree. Some people that change there avvies - like i pwnd you, his always say pwnd which is also reconizable. But its easier to tell who is posting what by the avvie

I think avvies are an absolute must. Just my opinion though. and the search button is also an absolute must.

Up until today I haven't used an Avatar. Now I'm only at school so I dident have the Images i wanted to make one, but i'll get to that later when I get home.

And I agree on the fact that people do respond more to those that have Avatars. Which are commonly more noted the the names themselves. Most of the time i just look for the Avatar to identify the person.

But yeah, heres my 1 minute photoshop of an avatar. It will be changed when i get home >.<
